Depending on your preference a process analyzer could be placed in a shelter or could be housed in a NEMA enclosure right near the point of analysis. The cell could be either in the enclosure with tubings bringing the slip stream through the cell or it could be in-line outside the enclosure with fiber optics bringing light from the enclosure to the cell and back.

Your process stream is in this way continuously analyzed and the processed data provide near real-time information on the chemical composition of your stream. This feedback enables the adjustment of process parameters in a way that optimizes process efficiency as well as product quality. By measuring the process upstream of the final product, the quality of the final product can be actively managed, eliminating surprises at the time of final QC.
